Accessible Shoe Design

A complete reimagination of shoe design.

Accessible Shoe Design

Story

I created this project when I took UX307 as an elective when I was in CS major. This project can change the way we wear our shoes. This type of shoe design can help many disabled people wear their shoes easily and also helps able-bodied people wear these shoes easily. These shoes have Greeper laces and a unique new design that divides the shoes in two halves which are connected with hinges on the bottom and have click-lock like structure on the sides which secures the shoes from opening by accident.

* I was a CS student at that time and didn’t knew much about design and editing so I couldn’t create good representation of my work and therefore the designs below won’t look as good as it does in my mind.

Next Steps - Nike Go Flyeasy

1 year after the completion of this project, Nike (the shoe company) released a similar design shoe. This is a near representation of what I was planning to make in my own time after university. But since Nike has already made it, I won't be making it anymore.
